Speaking to People.com, a rep for Givenchy confirmed that the actress Uma Thurman is, ‘the face of a new women’s fragrance that is slated to launch in Europe this fall, with a possible launch in the U.S. in 2010.’

No word yet from Liv or any of her representatives.

 Update[17-04]: The last couple of days confusing reports came out which indicate that Uma Thurman, though representing a new frangrance for Givenchy this autumn, is not replacing Liv, but joining.

Earlier this week websites as for example Marie Claire reported:

“The 38-year-old actress takes over from the label’s current celebrity face, Liv Tyler, and is set to make her debut in [...]“

At Hollyscoop.com:

“Au Revoir Liv Tyler! The famous French fashion house Givenchy has just announced that Uma Thurman [...] No word on why Liv got the boot but the Kill Bill star [...]

Now new reports have surfaced at Daily Mail UK:

“Uma joins Liv Tyler, face of Givenchy make up and the fragrance Very Irresistible, and Justin Timberlake [...]“

These new reports convinced us that Uma is not replacing, but joining Liv at Givenchy. We hereby apologize for any heart attacks, sudden strokes and other medical conditions caused by this disturbing news.
